Roblox Game Design

Pre-Requisites:
Ages 7-10. Familiarity using a mouse and keyboard is helpful but not required. No prior coding experience needed.

Details:
Campers will gain a better appreciation for how Roblox games are built and what goes on behind the scenes to create a fun Roblox game.

They’ll be introduced to Roblox Studio - a 2D/3D game design platform that is used to build all of their favorite Roblox games. Each day, campers will learn how to design and create various different features and powerups that are found in common Roblox games such as: respawns, checkpoints, speed boosts and portaling. They’ll learn the basics of the LUA programming language and the fundamentals of game design and development.  At the end of the week, campers will have their own mini-game that they can play on their own or with fellow campers.
